The best Black Friday deals for headphones

The modern world of audio streaming, podcasting and working from home requires the right audio accessories that allow you to immerse yourself in the action. We’ve picked out some of the best deals on over-ear headphones and some TWS audio wearables where it’s Black Friday all week.

Our top pick is the Sony WH-CH710N which may be two years old but is still good value for money. We loved them in 2020, and today we love them even more with the massive 55% discount. The battery provides nearly 35 hours of battery life on a single charge, which is the average length of a working week in many countries.

Philips might be a brand more associated with other devices and devices, but the H9505 Hybrid are an amazing pair of headphones. Also worth noting is the massive 60% discount which is one of the main reasons to select this offer.

The Jabra Elite 85h offers great battery life and impressive active noise cancellation, and we loved the fast charging. One caveat is the copper/gold accents – yes, you won’t see them, but you will be noticed as they tend to be eye-catching.

Every list of compatible headphones should include the Bose 700. The big discount is for the white pair, but traditionalists can also get this audio accessory in black at a slightly lower discount. While these noise-canceling headphones are some of the best looking, their battery life isn’t impressive, and it can get annoying if you’re on the go a lot.

The Sennheiser Momentum 3 isn’t the newest model in the series – there’s also the 4th iteration now. We recommend the 3rd generation because the offer is better, the price is lower and they still feel just as comfortable. After all, Black Friday is all about getting the best deal, and the Momentum 3 is a head above its newer sibling in that regard.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 are the newest and best over-ear headphones made by Sony, and it was an easy deal to land in our Black Friday list. There are a few deals, but we’d still recommend getting the previous iteration, the WH-1000XM4, if you’re not ready to spend that much. More aggressive discounts make this the more attractive offer of the two.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 is the natural competitor to Sony headphones. We don’t think this pair will get cheaper anytime soon, so better take advantage of this 33% discount – it gives you one of the best, if not the best over-ear headphones, with impressive overall performance, battery life of the battery, and active noise cancellation.

We were personally impressed with the sound provided by Soundcore, an Anker audio brand that offers a great audio experience at affordable prices. Now, with Black Friday ahead of us, these deals look even more interesting, so we’re recommending not one but four different pairs of headphones.

Moving away from on-ear headphones, we also have a curated selection of TWS headphones. A different form factor for active people who prefer a different kind of audio comfort. These portable audio devices are in a class of their own, but they’re still great for sports, gaming, work calls and conversations on the go, so here are our picks for this Black Friday.

Deals on TWS headphones

Moving halfway through this list of offers to TWS headphones, the Realme Buds Air 3 is the first set that came to mind. It brings above average sound quality, good bass and basic noise cancellation. More importantly, it has a universally comfortable fit, which cannot be said for all in-ear headphones in this category.

The Sony WF-1000XM4 has been on the market for over a year now. Their audio quality is exceptional for headphones of this class, and Sony’s active noise cancellation is an industry benchmark. The Black Friday deals are extremely attractive and we can’t recommend these TWS headphones highly enough. Be aware that they might not be the most comfortable to hear for long durations – at least not for everyone.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro arrived in August, and the Korean manufacturer is already offering a Black Friday deal. These headphones are the latest and greatest from Samsung, and at this price they’re a bargain.

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 arrived three years after the first Pro, and Cupertino decided to invest in performance improvements rather than design. These are clearly the best headphones to pair with an iPhone, and one of the best times to get such portable audio devices is now.

Some users may not be fans of the Pro design with the rubber tips, so Apple has regular AirPods too. Yes, there are some slight compromises, but the price is also more attractive, especially coupled with a Black Friday discount. Too bad it’s not available in all the markets we researched.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro are a direct competitor to Samsung and Sony products in this exact list. We added these headphones because they look good, pair effortlessly with any Android phone, and the battery life is praiseworthy.

The Google Pixel Buds A series are like the Pixel A smartphones – a more affordable alternative to the flagship series. And given that they’re 35% off, we’d recommend them to any Android user who likes to have a bit of a native Google feeling with them.

The Bose QuietComfort II headphones are the most expensive pair of TWS headphones on this list, but the truth is, they’re worth every dollar, especially on Black Friday when the price is even lower. They offer what is arguably the best active noise cancellation in the world, and they’re extremely comfortable too.

Bose could have worked on the looks a bit, but if you can afford $250 TWS headphones, you can make people smile at your chunky headphones.

Wired headphones deals

Moving on to some wired options, first we have Audio-Technica’s twins. The more expensive M50x is known for its colorful sound, punchy bass, treble response and great amount of detail. The cheaper M40x is ironically the more neutral and balanced sound of the two, making it more suitable for mastering purposes.

Sennheiser’s sublime HD 650s are a tour de force in the world of audiophile headphones despite their relatively modest price. They effectively make many of the most expensive earphones superfluous thanks to their overall performance. Meanwhile, the IE300 IEMs are perfect for those who want jaw-dropping bass with high-quality sound.

If you want something more affordable, you simply can’t go wrong with the outstanding Moondrop Aria. And for those on an even tighter budget, the KZ ZEX Pro are also a fantastic option.
