Brentford’s win over Man City last time out was somewhat overlooked with the focus on the World Cup after the final round of fixtures, but it was a standout result for Thomas Frankwho got all the points thanks to a winner in the 98th minute of Ivan Toney.

The result puts the Bees in 10th position in Tablewith 19 points in their first 15 matches of the 2022-23 campaign thanks to a record of four wins, seven draws and four losses.

Only Newcastle United (one), Manchester City (two) and Arsenal (one) have lost fewer Premier League games than Brentford this season, and it looks like they will again have more than enough to avoid a relegation battle in the English elite.

The Bees announced on Saturday that Frank has signed a new five-year contract until June 2027, and it is certainly an exciting time to be associated with the football club as they seem to be firmly heading in the right direction.

Brentford have not beaten Tottenham since March 1948, although the two sides have only met twice in the Premier League, the points being split in a goalless draw when they last met at the Brentford Community Stadium in April .

The result left Tottenham fourth in the table, three points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, who are one game behind, and one point behind third-placed Newcastle United.
